Polish-German students exchange on Rugen Island

From 9.-14.06.2024 students of SLO took part in a German-Polish youth exchange.Together with students from the Hansagymnasium in Stralsund we spent a week at the youth hostel ‘Jugendherberge Prora’ in Binz by the Baltic Sea on Germany's largest island Rügen.The students in Polish-German groups took part in ecological workshops on the beach, doing various experiments on the ecosystem of the Baltic Sea.We also climbed to the top of a tree by hiking in the treetops on Baumwipfelpfad and took part in a drawing workshop, the theme being ‘tree’.On Wednesday, our students were welcomed at the school, Hansagymnasium by headmaster Thomas Janke.The students listened to information about the school system in Germany and then admired the beauty of the beautiful city of Stralsund. Our week on the island of Rügen is now over, but the memories will stay with us forever. Many thanks to the DMK in Gdansk and DPJW / PNWM for co-financing the Polish-German exchange.
