Erasmus+ project with Portugal and Polish-Spanish students exchange
From March 2 to March 10, 2024, SLO in Lębork hosted 20 students from Spain (Mungia/Bilbao) and 6 students from Portugal (Azores, Terceira, Angra do Heroísmo) as part of the Erasmus+ project. We welcomed the students from Portugal and Spain at Gdańsk airport and that evening we danced a dance together and made our first acquaintances during integration games.
On Monday we visited the Lębork City Hall for a meeting with Mayor Witold Namyślak. Together we went to the Water Tower, watched a film about the history of Lębork in English, and then the students explored our city during a city game in international groups.
We also invited our project partners on a trip to Gdańsk and Sopot. In Gdańsk our guests were welcomed by the President of Gdańsk, Aleksandra Dulkiewicz. During the meeting the President talked about schools in Gdańsk, the future of the city, there were also some sweet gifts for us and we took a group photo. In Gdańsk we also visited the 2nd educational career fair "EDU OFFSHORE WIND 2024," the only event of its kind in the country that introduces the job market in green energy in Poland. Students had the opportunity to talk with exhibitors from the innovative green energy sector. In the following days we baked pizza together at the Płotka family's bakery in Łeba, went bowling and invited our guests to 'Open Days' at our school: there were sweets, experiments, music, dances, and a pleasant atmosphere.
We thank everyone for their help in realizing the Polish-Spanish exchange and our Erasmus+ project with Portugal. Special thanks go to the parents and students who hosted students from Spain and Portugal in their homes. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the parents and teachers for the delicious cakes and breakfasts prepared for our guests.
