Erasmus+ in Spain, Mungia

From April 8 to April 12, 2024, students of SLO were engaged in tasks related to our Erasmus + project in Mungia, Spain. The students were welcomed by their host families and project partners at the Bilbao airport. From Monday to Friday the time was filled with project tasks, joint excursions and learning about Basque culture, where tradition intertwines with modernity. Our project tasks were related to cultural heritage, the beauty of nature and the world around us, career counseling and the everyday lives of teenagers in European countries. During their stay in Spain, students participated in maths, Spanish, English classes, there were also workshops in a laboratory and electronics classes, which were a novelty and an interesting experience for us. Together with project partners from Spain students created project films about the lives of teenagers in Poland and Spain. There were also sports activities and surfing in Bakio, as well as trips to San Sebastián and Bilbao. In Bilbao we visited the famous Guggenheim Museum but we also marveled at the picturesque landscapes from green hills to rugged coastlines. San Sebastián, on the other hand, is the culinary capital of the Basque Country. It is home to numerous Michelin-starred restaurants that attract food lovers from around the world. It is a city where local chefs constantly experiment, creating dishes that are a true feast for the senses.
